So, a week has passed and Cannes stars have been partying like its 1969. I’m just interested in the fashion really so let’s see who wore what to where at when. No better way to flaunt at the red carpet than the premiere or photocall of a Cannes worthy movie. Let’s start with Day 2 of Cannes and beyond.
“We Need to Talk about Kevin”
“The Tree of Life”
“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”
To me, Kirsten Dunst is a big hit or miss when it comes to fashion and films. So with her gold day dress by it was apt and lovely but not sure if the same can be said for her Rodarte gown for the premiere. It’s an interesting look for the leading lady.
So, what’s the point of Cannes Film Festival without a stream of parties night after night? Amen.
Calvin Klein and IFP Women in Independent Film Party
Needless to say, everyone wore Calvin Klein from its latest Pre-Fall collection.
amFAR’s annual “Cinema against AIDS Gala” at Eden Roc, Hotel du Cap
This year’s amFar charity gala to raise funds for AIDS campaign and causes was the most successful in terms of money raised. According to the press release:
More than $10 million was raised last night for amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, at the Cinema Against AIDS Gala, held at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, during the 64th annual Cannes International Film Festival. This year’s amfAR gala, now in its eighteenth year, was the most successful fundraising event in the Foundation’s history.
Well done celebrities for all the effort to create awareness and raise money towards the cause. Oh, fashion was interesting too.
